Operated by ECAMS Innovation Ltd, Dublin, Ireland

1. Who We Are and What GAAPS Is?
GAAPS (Global Alliance For Aesthetic Patient Safety) is an online directory operated by ECAMS Innovation Ltd, a company registered in Dublin, Ireland (“ECAMS Innovation”, “GAAPS”, “we”, “us”, “our”). The website located at gaaps.org (the “Site”) allows members of the public to search for and view information about the aesthetic medicine and surgery training that individual doctors have undertaken.
GAAPS exists to make one specific piece of information easy to find: what clinical training and certification a doctor has actually completed in aesthetic medicine and related fields, and whether that training was verified by GAAPS. To our knowledge, no equivalent directory publicly verifying this information previously existed, and GAAPS was created to close that gap and support patients in making better-informed choices.
By accessing or using the Site, you (“you”, “the user”, “the patient”) agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Site.
2. What GAAPS Is Not
It is important that you understand the limits of what GAAPS provides. GAAPS is a training-verification and information directory only. GAAPS is not any of the following, and you should not treat it as such:
- A medical provider, clinic, hospital, or healthcare service of any kind.
- A booking agency, referral service, or intermediary that arranges, recommends, or facilitates any medical or surgical procedure.
- A source of medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment recommendations.
- A guarantee, warranty, certification of competence, or endorsement of any doctor’s clinical skill, judgement, safety record, or fitness to treat any individual patient.
- A body that inspects, audits, or has ongoing oversight of any doctor’s clinic, equipment, staff, insurance status, or day-to-day practice.
GAAPS records and displays what training a listed doctor has undertaken and, where stated, whether GAAPS has verified attendance or completion of that training. It does not evaluate, monitor, or vouch for how that doctor applies that training in clinical practice.
3. Not Medical Advice
Nothing on the Site constitutes medical advice.
All content on the Site — including doctor profiles, training summaries, department or specialty descriptions, and any general information pages — is provided for general informational purposes only. It is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any condition, and it is not a substitute for a consultation with a qualified, licensed medical professional.
You must not rely on any information found on the Site as the basis for a decision about whether to undergo any medical or surgical procedure. Any decision to proceed with a consultation or procedure with any doctor, whether or not listed on GAAPS, must be made following your own independent consultation with that doctor of your choice, during which you should ask directly about their training, experience, licensing, insurance, and the specific risks relevant to your case.
If you are experiencing a medical emergency or believe you require urgent medical attention, contact your local emergency services immediately. GAAPS is not equipped to respond to and does not monitor the Site for medical emergencies.
4. The Nature of GAAPS Verification
Where a doctor’s profile on the Site indicates that training has been “verified” or “GAAPS certified,” this means only that GAAPS, or its affiliate ECAMS (European College of Aesthetic Medicine and Surgery) or another recognised training provider, has confirmed that the named doctor attended, completed, or was certified in the specific course, module, or programme stated on their profile, as at the date shown.
This verification relates strictly to training attendance and/or certification. It does not mean, and must not be interpreted to mean, any of the following:
- That the doctor currently holds a valid medical licence in good standing in their country of practice.
- That the doctor has since maintained, updated, or continued to practise the skills covered by that training.
- That the doctor’s clinic, facility, or support staff meet any particular safety or hygiene standard.
- That the doctor carries adequate professional indemnity insurance.
- That the doctor has no history of disciplinary action, complaints, or malpractice claims.
- That any specific procedure performed by that doctor will be safe, appropriate for you, or free of complications.
Training records reflect information available to GAAPS at the time of verification. Doctors are responsible for notifying GAAPS of any change to their qualifications, licensing status, or contact details, and GAAPS relies in part on doctors keeping this information current. We carry out reasonable checks but do not guarantee that every profile is complete, current, or free of error at every moment in time.
5. No Guarantee of Procedure Outcomes
GAAPS makes no representation, warranty, or guarantee — express or implied — regarding the outcome of any procedure performed by any doctor listed on the Site.
Aesthetic and surgical procedures carry inherent risks regardless of the training, experience, or skill of the practitioner performing them. Individual patient factors, the specific technique used, aftercare, and unforeseen complications can all affect outcomes in ways that no directory, credential, or training record can predict or prevent.
GAAPS is not liable for, and expressly disclaims all responsibility for, the results of any consultation, treatment, or procedure carried out by any doctor found through or listed on the Site, whether or not that doctor’s training was verified by GAAPS.
6. Your Responsibility as a Patient
Locating a doctor through GAAPS does not remove your responsibility to carry out your own due diligence before proceeding with any consultation or treatment. We strongly encourage you to independently verify, at minimum:
- The doctor’s current medical licence and registration status with the relevant medical regulatory body in the country where they practise.
- The doctor’s professional indemnity or malpractice insurance.
- Any relevant reviews, complaints, or disciplinary history through official regulatory channels.
- That the specific procedure you are considering, and the facility in which it will be performed, are appropriate for your individual medical history.
You should raise any questions about training, qualifications, risks, and alternatives directly with the doctor during a formal consultation before agreeing to any procedure.
7. Legal Referral Disclaimer
Where a patient using the Site expresses concern about a procedure, a doctor, or another matter arising from information found on GAAPS, GAAPS may, at its discretion and where available, share contact details for an independent legal practitioner in the patient’s country who may be able to assist.
Any such referral is offered purely as a convenience and courtesy. GAAPS does not employ, supervise, endorse, vet to any professional standard, or take responsibility for the advice, conduct, fees, or service of any lawyer or firm referred in this way. GAAPS is not a legal referral service and does not guarantee that a suitable contact will be available in every country or circumstance.
Any engagement between you and a referred lawyer is a matter entirely between you and that lawyer, on whatever terms you agree directly with them. GAAPS accepts no liability arising from any such referral, engagement, or the outcome of any legal matter.
8. Listed Doctors Are Independent Practitioners
Doctors listed on GAAPS are independent medical professionals. They are not employees, agents, partners, or representatives of ECAMS Innovation Ltd, GAAPS, or ECAMS (European College of Aesthetic Medicine and Surgery), and nothing on the Site should be read as creating such a relationship. Each listed doctor is solely responsible for their own clinical decisions, conduct, licensing, insurance, and compliance with the laws and medical regulations of their own jurisdiction.
9. Accuracy and Availability of Information
We take reasonable steps to keep information on the Site accurate and up to date, but we do not warrant that all content is complete, accurate, current, or error-free at all times. Doctor profiles depend in part on information provided by, or verified in relation to, the individual doctor and third-party training providers, and may not reflect changes that have not yet been reported to us.
We may suspend, restrict, or remove access to the Site, or any part of it, at any time, including for maintenance, updates, or reasons beyond our control, without prior notice and without liability.
10. Intellectual Property
All content on the Site, including text, graphics, logos, the GAAPS name and branding, and the underlying database and directory structure, is the property of ECAMS Innovation Ltd or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may view and share individual doctor profile pages for personal, non-commercial reference. You may not copy, scrape, republish, or otherwise reproduce Site content in bulk, or use it to build a competing directory or database, without our prior written consent.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by Irish law:
- The Site and all content on it are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.
- ECAMS Innovation Ltd, its directors, employees, and affiliates (including ECAMS) will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to personal injury, loss of health, financial loss, or loss of data, arising from or connected to your use of the Site, your reliance on any information found on the Site, or any consultation, treatment, or procedure undertaken with any doctor found through the Site.
- Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude or limit liability for death or personal injury caused by our own negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under Irish law.
12. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ECAMS Innovation Ltd, GAAPS, and their directors, employees, and affiliates from any claim, liability, loss, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the Site, your breach of these Terms, or any decision you make regarding medical treatment based on information obtained through the Site.
13. Third-Party Links
The Site may contain links to third-party websites, including training providers, regulatory bodies, or referred legal practitioners. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of any third-party website, and inclusion of a link does not imply endorsement.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes to the Site, our services, or legal requirements. The date at the top of this page indicates when the Terms were last revised. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
15. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of Ireland. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms or your use of the Site shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ireland.
