Dr Roberto Viel, born in 1959 in Italy, is a distinguished plastic and cosmetic surgeon with over three decades of experience in the field. Practicing aesthetic plastic surgery in London Harley street since 1990, he opened his UAE based practice, located in Dubai, in 2008. He is currently based in Dubai where he practices as a Specialist Plastic Surgeon at several prominent medical institutions, including the Quttainah Specialized Hospital, DNA Health and Wellness clinics in Dubai and Reem Hospital in Abu Dhabi. He also serves as the Medical Director at the Bioscience Clinic Middle East, a position he has held since 2014, leading clinic for mesemchimal stem cells. Additionally, Dr Viel is a longstanding practitioner at the London Centre for Aesthetic Surgery Gulf, located in Dubai Healthcare City, where he has been practicing since 2008.

Dr Viel’s medical journey began at the University of Milan, where he earned his degree in Medicine and Surgery with honors in 1984. He subsequently specialized in maxillofacial surgery at the same university, completing his program in 1989. His post-graduate training included a year of practical experience in plastic craniofacial surgery at the University of Utrecht in The Netherlands and advanced training in aesthetic surgery under renowned surgeons in the United States, including Dr S. Aston at the Manhattan Eye Ear and Throat Hospital in New York, and Prof Pierre Fournier in Paris.

Dr Viel has pioneered procedures such as fat grafting for facial rejuvenation and introduced penoplasty and ultrasound liposuction in UK in 1991. Dr Viel has a long experience in penoplasty, being one of the top surgeons in the field with one of the highest number of surgeries performed.

Throughout his career, Dr Viel has maintained an international presence, working in esteemed clinics in London, Dublin, Milan and the UAE, and frequently participating in specialized courses and workshops across the globe. His expertise spans various areas of aesthetic and plastic surgery, with a particular focus on body contouring, facial surgery, and liposculpture. His partnership with his brother, Dr Maurizio Viel, at the London Centre for Aesthetic Surgery has been a cornerstone of his professional life since 1990. Dr Roberto Viel is a co-author of the highly sought-after book, “The Viel’s Beauty Bible”, which quickly sold out.

Dr Viel is a member of several prestigious professional organizations, including the Emirates Plastic Surgery Society, the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery, and the British Association of Cosmetic Surgeons. He is also a certified member of the International Board of Cosmetic Surgery, reflecting his commitment to maintaining the highest standards of practice in his field.

In addition to his clinical work, Dr Viel is a respected educator and speaker. He has served as an instructor for various international courses on topics such as fat grafting, botulinum toxin techniques, and ultrasound liposuction, he was among the pioneering surgeons to introduce and teach how to use Vaser liposuction to both the UK and UAE markets.
